ISHIDA Dance Company embraces inclusion, diversity, equity and access. We recognize our responsibility to be an open, welcoming and anti-racist organization where students, artists, staff, trustees and volunteers of all backgrounds collaboratively learn, work and serve. Inclusion, diversity, equity and access are instrumental in the fulfillment of our mission and values. We address the challenges of our future in a culture that honors what is unique in all of us.
Governance
ISHIDA Dance was registered in 2019 as Texas non-for-profit Corporation and has been designated by the IRS as a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
ISHIDA is governed by a Board of Directors that meet regularly to review the plans, activities, and operations of ISHIDA. Current Board Members who serve for renewable two-year terms are: Clark Senders, John Chen, Kathyrn Jessup, Robert Petrarca, Leslie Culhane, Jennifer Kushner, Susan Binney, and Brett Ishida.
The Company’s corporate counsel is Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati.
Per IRS guidelines, ISHIDA files annual 990 statements each year. Those are available to the public through various websites, but also available directly from the company.
